Christmas Eve - Godrevy 8.30am - met Ollie for a dawny, it was low tide and 3-4ft, 5ft on sets, some perfect long rights, had a awesome cover up and a massive floating lip cut back, some juicey bowls and a couple of horrible paddle outs. It was a good 2 hour session and not too cold.

Porthtowan - high tide - 3ft and quite clean, only me and Shaun 'Skippy' Skilton, who was rippin' as usual... had a handful of lefts, first one was a lovely bowl and hollow lip.. didn't make it out though.. but the rights into the blinding sun were better.. popped a cheeky 4ft air... water getting much colder.

Porthtowan - low to mid tide on the push... looked about 2-3ft, actually 3-4ft on sets, had a handful of waves, nice big take offs and bottom turns.. nothing fancy.. inside section was heavy, and the paddle out was really hard work... sun was gorgeous, and water temp had dropped but still bearable without hood etc..

Portreath - high tide - haven't been in for a few weeks and I know it's been good... DIY stuff... 3-4ft, classic right handers from the centre towards Amys for the first hour, had some corkers with a few reverses.. loved it.. nobody else in for an hour... strong winds, some lumpy swell, but good fun, water has got a bit nippy. Saw a big seal cruising around, after 2 hours I felt tired and the swell had dropped. Bonfire and Fireworks that evening were awesome.

Portreath - mid tide - evening session, about 2-3ft cleanish lines, strong offshore, had some rights, then as dusk fell caught some lovely lefts, feels like you're going twice as fast, had a big air landing... stoked

Great Western, Newquay - 1 hour off high tide going out - about 3ft, pretty rubbish, alot of duckdiving, waves were closing out, had a couple of nice rights, but weird shaped waves, quite fat, bouncey takeoff.. weather was gorgeous..

Portreath - high tide - about 3ft - some nice rights, and a few left onto shorebreak, but it never really worked properly, Danny, Eldrid and Alex Winkworth all in and ripping, but it was hard work. Felt really heavy in the water. Had a great right with a cheeky reverse off the lip.

Portreath - high tide - 2ft, rough, windy, choppy and slack, but i had to get in, nobody else in, couldn't DK for my life, so i just flopped around and got wet. Some spins, but purely good for the soul. Wash out all work issues.!

Portreath - mid tide - 2ft, beautiful sunshine, some nice clean rights, met a lad called Wayne, chatted in between sets and we practised our dropknee., i could only stay in for 1 hour 30mins.. gutted.. but had enough waves to soothe the soul.

Portreath - high tide - 2-3ft, some nice occasional rights that were fast and fun.. had a few fast lip spins, but mainly down the line stuff, few cutties. Chris was there but knackered. Snapped my leash after taking a stupid late drop-in.. lovely swell and weather.

Droskyn - Perranporth - mid tide about 4ft on sets with a wedge that boosted the take off up to 6ft, alot of paddling, but some seriously good take-offs, no fancy moves, just hard riding, cranking bottom turns and fast lines... took a few meaty beasts on the head... saw a flying fish, then played with Jake on the sand.

Porthtowan - low tide - 2ft+ clean swell down at Lushingtons, some lovely bowls, and had a couple of 2 second barrels.. watched some ripping standups, only 6 of us in..!

Portreath - mid tide - 2ft+ chop with a bit of swell, nobody in, had a few fast, tight spins, nice wedge take-offs, swell angle was diagonal from St Agnes way. Sunset was magical - orange horizon merging with a light blue then into mauve and purple then dark blue/black, then off in between Amys and Gull Rock as the sun set, orange rays cut through the light blue.

Portreath - 1 hour before high tide - 2ft wind chop with a bit of swell, my dropknee was a complete flop, but had a few shorebreak barrels and rolls..nobody in, just needed to clear the cobwebs and get wet.

Godrevy - mid to low tide - clean, small swell ... 2ft and pushy, laods in and crowded. Had a few reverses, no DK, felt sluggish and heavy.. sun shining though!

Godrevy - mid to high tide - monster swell ... real good fun.. long paddle out, not so much heavy duckdives, about 15 mins and 20+ duck dives, faces were double overhead (10-12ft) and setty... but had some awesome long righthanders..big arc cutties..we were in for nearly 3hrs.. absolutely twatted for the rest of the day...

Portreath - high tide - good 2-3ft - had a fun session today, surfed with Damian alot, doing stupid airs and stuff.. lumpy, but some good shorebreak, had an epic bowl into a lip launch over a lad who was duck-diving and hooting like a madman.. 2hrs disappeared quick..

Portreath - 1 hour off high tide - good 4ft - still in my shortie, although it's getting chilly now.. first wave was wave of the day, a monster peaked 5ft right hander, pulled a cheeky reverse..fired up.. the rest of the session was bblowing hot and cold, some nice take offs but lumpy, some short, some long, really unpredictable, only in for 1 hour 15 mins.

Portreath - 1 hour off high tide - weird rippy lumps, board bending take-offs and chunky, sucky walls appearing from nowhere, really fun.. constant paddling, got a bit cold, so paddled with Damian to the Wall, met Karl and Dave Heard, had a few nice rights, it was a good 3-4ft and quite clean. Had a good laugh, satisfied the ocean craving..

Bank Holiday Monday - Godrevy 7am - jumped in at low tide... about 3ft solid with 4ft sets.. Ollie joined me later, had some cracking rights.. big arcing cutties, some drop knee take offs, but wobbly rides..! in for over 2 hours in a shortie.. felt chilly towards the end.

Portreath - 1 hour and half before high tide..Borrowed Pams flippers, pissed around on the shorebreak for 20 mins which was rubbish, then went to the wall, good 3-4ft sets, nice take offs, good shoulders and a mean shorebreak. Some nice bottom turns and a mutant hold down with Karl, dragged us back about 10 metres... fun, fun, fun..got out after 2 hours.

MONSTER swell.. Portreath 1 hour before high tide.. 6-8ft big sets, only a handful in.. 4 on the wall, which was mutant and so heavy.. I didn't fancy that, i stayed in the middle taking rights and lots of beatings.. big duck dives, hold downs and constant paddling. So much fun, fast and furious.. not too knackered

Much cleaner than yesterday, high tide at Portreath, same sort of spot, 4ft, some clean rights, lovely take-offs, had a good dropknee session, more control in bigger waves.. catching wave after wave.. met a lad from South Devon, had a few spins, a beastly left lip launch and landed it heavily..!

It's been a big flat spell, so good to get in today, Porthtowan - mid tide - 2ft max, but super clean, had loads of energy, just tried to dropknee everything, had some proper controlled rides, messed around with Damian on his surf lifesavers longboard, dropping in, doubling up etc.. good fun... revitalised

Porthtowan - 11am mid tide dropping, about 3ft, alot of paddling, met Kirstin, felt heavy and sluggish, had some alright waves, not really comfortable on the board... unfit.. had one big reo off the lip..1hour 30mins felt like a 6 hour session. Portreath - 5pm - mid tide on the push.. good fun with Eldrid, Chris and Dave Heard from BBHQ, just 4 spongers having a laugh.. about 2-3ft max, but some clean lines, some fat, some fast, really unpredictable, had some nice reverses, wobbly DK..lol..over 2 hours..battered

Godrevy - 6.30am - low tide 1-2ft... met up with Ollie, lovely weather, just jumped in... got some good DK advice, wasn't placing my knee close enough to the rail, therefore sliding out all the time.. but got that sussed.. had a ripping little session.. even a cover up and a few spins.. classic

Godrevy - low tide on the turn, small 2ft, but goo fun... pulled off some wave combo's, reverses, rolls and lip launches. Getting on to the knee was a bit hit and miss, but felt good.. waves went slack after 1 hour or so.

Bank Holiday Monday - Holywell - low tide on the push around 5pm, met up with Jason, howling cross offshore, blind take-offs, about 3ft but peeling left and right... excellent fun, had some clean cover ups, spins and juicy floaters... really surprised..chuffed

it's been ages since i was last in... went in at Droskyn - low tide - 3.30pm about 2ft with backwash and wedges making it about 3-4ft take offs. Some small cover-ups, boosting airs from the cliff backwash, little wedgey sections, short rides, but sun was shining, had fun, water crystal clear, not crowded (surprised for a Bank Holiday), loved it.

Porthtowan - mid to low tide around at Slab Rock. Pretty shite, only 2ft max, alot of paddling against a riptide, felt sluggish and knackered, had afew coverups as it dropped further, got out after 1.5 hours, then it got hollow and good sponging waves..typical..too tired..

Portreath - 1.00pm... only one in....cos it was windy, choppy and messy... had a monster paddle out, hard work and not much reward.. couple of big take offs, but not much else.. squinting so bad, and plenty of scum,/froth..hmmmm lovely.. mr big seal was checking me out, which was a little unnerving...got out battered but stoked

Portreath - 6.15am... about 3ft+ on the wall, then as it came in to high tide..boosted to about 5ft..!no makeable barrels, but some meaty closeouts...! bit of wind..but nice take offs, and some pockets of fun... foot still hurts.... Dean took one for the boys, a lovely 5ft slide bottom turn closeout, followed by the 3 wave set..!

Portreath - 10.00am - 1 hour before high tide... about 3ft solid with 4 ft sets, had some superb rights, lovely scooping bottom turns into a long bowl section then onto a big air lip launch re-entry.. caught some serious air today, after about an hour Ryan 'Chuckie' Keast and Craig Smith jumped in, had a few good 'uns, but the tide went weird and had too many closeouts... got out after 2 hours... cold hands, but totally stoked.. sunshine was gorgeous.. roll on spring.

Porthtowan - 3.45pm Low tide.. about 2-3ft, quite clean, had some superb ramp sections, clocked serious air hang time today.. boosted a few, foot still bruised and killing me... had a few pull in' barrel take offs and a nice right reverse... off to Twickenham tomorrow to watch England vs Ireland...

Portreath - 3.30pm...took some lovely 2-3ft rights to amy's.. met up with Damian.. had some hollow beach breaks.. pulled into some brown sandy barrels...took a few beatings... watched 3 chimps get smashed by the shorey... then one of them crawls on all fours up the beach...ha,ha,ha... no tricks just solid riding.. somehow knackered my right foot.. 1hour and 45 mins later i'm hobbling home...

Portreath - 4.30pm... 2 hours before high tide, middle of the beach was weird, a sort of backwash causing hideous chop and crap take offs.. had a few beach breaks..caught a monster lip and got seriously boosted..then went onto the wall with Eldrid, took some nice take offs, about 3-4ft, had a late one and air dropped 6ft into the pit.. white water rumble... couple of cover ups... stoked

Perranporth - Chapel Rock.. low tide on the push.. nobody else in..4ft on the set, really nice take off and mellow shoulders left and right.. felt so good to ride... it got fat later on so I moved to the shorebreak, which was pretty heavy and sandy.. saw a stand up get a lip on his back..got smashed...a few reverses and a bit on the knee... chuffed..

Portreath, nealry high tide... super offshore 4ft swell... lovely clean rights, only 5 of us in... found it hard to paddle with gloves and hoody on.. but nice and warm!! felt heavy in the water.. had some nice rides, nothing spectacular.. got a few nailings as well.. held under longer than usual... swallowed a gob full..! Perranporth low to mid tide on the push in line with Chapel Rock... about 3.30pm... some lovely 3ft bowling lefts and wedgey rights, 3 other lads in, caught a lip too late and it smacked the side of my head like a cricket bat..! got an instant headache and earache, face was burning.! ouuch.. good 1 hour session, plenty of duck diving... waves started to shut down towards the end... impossible paddle out

Portreath - Middle section with Chris, Eldrid and Dave Heard, it was weird, bumpy, choppy, lumpy..so moved out to the Wall, hollow, powerful and fast. Had a big air drop into the flats, took a few nailings, Damien and Jago ripped. Moved onto beachbreak for a few fun wedges..

2.15pm Portreath - 3-4ft Off-The-Wall, hollow, spitting barrels.... it was really setty at first, 10 spongers and 2 stand ups on one break... then a big 20 min lull, loads got out then Matt Reed joined us and it seemed to pump right up.. lovely makeable right handers.. had a couple of hollow barrels.. good old portreath..!

2.15pm Portreath - 1hr before high tide, 4ft with 5ft sets swinging in, had 2 beautiful rights, long, hard and fast finishing with a reverse into shorebreak...sweet... lots of duck diving, only 3 of us out.. Damien and Tim Brown... windy and messy, chunky lumpy rides, but good to keep fit and stoked

iam currently riding an elemenopee skipp set up 42" bat tail, it's a ripper compared to my old manta sabre, but it feels a bit too long, the old girl was a 41.5", i guess it's just a matter of changing postition on the board.
